My sister, Shannon, and brother-in-law, Phil, had their first son on July 21. His name is John Wesley Hodge. Photographs and more information are at http://philliphodge.tripod.com/, so go have a look. The kid is enormous, more than nine pounds. I predict he will be either an archaeologist or an NFL lineman. Naturally, I haven't seen him personally and can't opine, but he looks quite handsome to me. Doesn't have that tomato-red face that a lot of newborns have. We're going to go see them in September, so I'll report from there. I doubt he'll have picked up much conversational ability by then, but I'm sure he'll have many fascinating bodily functions I can tell you all about.
